Sergio Belza, Founder and CEO

Sergio founded ANETO Capital, in 2017. He began his career in asset management in the late 1990s. After two decades of experience — including twelve years at the buy side at INVESCO and senior roles at UBS, HSBC, and LGT in Europe and Hong Kong — he and his team decided to establish their own firm to offer a truly independent and client-focused service.

Sergio conducted graduate studies at the Harvard Kennedy School and holds an Master Degree with specialisation in Financial Mathematics. He is a member of the Forest Stewardship Council in Switzerland and conducts doctoral research in Green Financial Instruments. Sergio is also Associate Professor and lectures in Executive MBA programs at leading universities across Asia.

Fluent in five languages and an avid motorbiker and reader, Sergio’s passion is learning. He has four children, resides in Hong Kong since 2006 and is a Spanish citizen.

Manuel Gonzalez, Chief Operating Officer

Manuel joined ANETO in 2017. He started his career in finance in the late 1990s. Prior to joining ANETO he was COO at Mandarin Capital.

Manuel spent nearly two decades on the sell side, serving as Head of Operations for Société Générale in Madrid, Sydney, and Hong Kong. In late 2012, he transitioned to the buy side, leading Operations at Richmond AM and later co-founding the Hong Kong–based asset management firm Mandarin Capital.

He has a BA in Business Administration from the European School of Management and a Master's Degree in Economic-Financial Management from CEF in Spain.

Manuel has one son and his hobbies are sports and music. A frequent football player, he resides in Hong Kong since 2005 and is a Spanish Citizen.

Sergio and Manuel’s European heritage and Asian experience have shaped their ability to lead a diverse group of professionals from different generations and cultural backgrounds whose expertise spans finance, law, and engineering.
