Sergio Belza, Founder and Managing Director

After combining 12 years on the buy side as Senior Portfolio Manager (INVESCO) and 10 years in Banking (UBS, HSBC, LGT) in Europe and Hong Kong, in 2018 Sergio decided to start a new phase of his professional career as founding partner of a Hong-Kong based external asset management and multi family office: ANETO.

Sergio holds a double Master’s degree in Business Administration with specialisation in Finance from the University of Barcelona and conducted graduate studies at the Harvard Kennedy School.

He is an Associate Professor and currently lectures Portfolio Management at different Asian Universities. He is also a member of the Forest Stewardship Council in Switzerland and conducts Doctorate Research in Green Finance. Lastly, he is an active member at both the Technology and the Private Equity Committee at the American Chamber in Taipei.

Fluent in five languages and an avid motorbiker and reader, Sergio’s passion is learning. He has four children, resides in Hong Kong since 2006 and is a Spanish citizen.

Manuel Gonzalez, Responsible Officer

Prior to joining ANETO he was Chief Operating Officer at Mandarin Capital.

Manuel spent 16 years on the sell side mostly as head of operations for Fimat and Newedge (Societe Generale) in Madrid, Sydney and Hong Kong. He decided in late 2012 to move to the buy side where he headed Richmond AM Operations, and co-founded the Asset Management company Mandarin Capital in Hong Kong.

He has a BA in Business Administration from the European School of Management and a Master's Degree in Economic-Financial Management from Centro de Estudios Financieros in Spain.

Manuel has one son and his hobbies are sports and music. A frequent football player, he resides in Hong Kong since 2005 and is a Spanish Citizen.
